Well, we made it to our first stop which is a cute little campground outside of Caldwell, Idaho called Country Corners Campsite. They are very friendly and run a very nice and clean campground. The trip started with a challenging drive down I84 and over the Blue Mountains in HEAVY fog and a constant downpour. The weather did cooperated nicely for us, however, once we arrived to setup camp and make dinner. With all the rain on the way we pictured ourselves setting up camp in a downpour. Lucky for us that didn't happen. We also got a chance while on the road to get a family photo at the leaving Oregon sign. It is the first time that Mindy and the kids have set foot in Idaho. Once camp was setup we made pita pizzas on the BBQ and relaxed while contemplating the next stop...Salt Lake City. We hope to see Shoshone falls and the Great Salt Lake tomorrow.

When I read that it was the first time for Mindy and the kids to be in Idaho I started tearing up. I am so excited for you all--what an awesome trip you have planned. BTW: the pita pizzas look amazing.
